Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi last week i was driving and my car dinged
the engine light came on and my car just
stoped. I got it towed then pulled to a shop
by my house. The mechanic said he had to
check and see if my engine was destroyed
when the timing belt broke and hit the
pistons. He said chance tje camshaft was
bent.  So about 4 hours later he called and
said my car would need a new timing belt
and the kit come with a new fuel pump with
everything it would cost me $ 1549.00 to fix
my car. So i scrambled to find alk the mobey
i needed. Finally thank God i did so he
started on my car. The next day it was ready.
I payed for it came home and parked it. The
next two days i drove it 18.5 miles two time
a day one the second day i heard like medal
rubbing and a high pitched sound everytime
i hit my brakes. I was so scared to drive
I took it back to tje same shop 14 hours
later yjey told me my camshaft was bent and
they need $2000.00 for a new engine.i told
him i wpuld need time to find the money Idk
what to do. Tonight the cops called me to
say someone reported my car abandoned.
The cops said the keys were in the car all
the windows were down and it was pooring
raining and it was in the entrance of the
store. I was scared to start it. So a friend
helped me push it to park it in a spot i looked
it up and i now have my keys.
