I have problems with the reverse gear (zero performance) after I disconnected the battery of thr FJ Cruiser, what do I have to do to make it work properly,

Asked by EdmundoB Nov 05, 2016 at 01:31 AM about the 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I feel there is less power on the D gear, do you think that it is related to the
computer programing. Is that correct? What can be done?

1 Answer

The transmission oil had not been changed, for some reason it burned affecting the functionality of the entire gear. I learned that the FJ Cruiser needs the oil to be changed every less than 100,000 km. The full transmission was replaced, that seems to be the unfortunate ending of this problem.
