I Cannot Figure Out Wiring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

First things first...hello, I am new to this so if I posted incorrectly, please
forgive me.  I did try to research but found nothing. The car is a 2008 Toyota
Camry 3.5 V6 purchased second hand.  The connector was removed to fix
one problem and I caused another when I fail to take note of how to
reconnect the wires.  If I connect it according to the yellow wire on the
connector, the blue to black and the white to white, the car will not turn over.
I have switch the wires every which way I can and the only way it turns over
is if I leave the yellow wire disconnected.  I don't want to do that since I know
it was connected. I connector goes to the "cam shaft sensor."

There should be a total of 4 camshaft sensors. 2 intake.....2 exhaust. which one is this?

That I am not sure all I can tell you is that the scanner was showing an issue with bank 1 sensor B. So I looked under the hood and scanned the area I was previously working in and saw that disconnected. I reconnected it and it will not turn over unless I leave the yellow wire disconnected. And yes that is the original color when I got the car. What makes it even more complicated is that since I am not the original owner, the other end that it was connected to, has 3 wires of which 1 is a different color. See pic below, that is also the area it came from. So I connected the black to black, the yellow to yellow and the white to blue.

Suggestion....clear all codes by DC battery for 2 min. Reconnect and turn the key on. Connect scan tool and make a list of all codes. Start up the engine and let it idle for 5 min. Re scan and check codes. List any additional codes. If you decide to attempt a repair...you will need a Wiring Diagram of those circuits caus ing said codes. Get back with results.

also...Bank 1 Sensor B is the #1 cylinder side of the engine. It locates the position of the exhaust camshaft. the connector should have a Yellow wire in #1 cavity of the connector. A Black wire in #2 cavity of the connector. A Red wire in # 3 cavity of said connector. sounds like a Harness repair is in order....thus ..a wiring diagram is helpful.

Did all that with the codes already. The only code I get with the wiring harness connected as I stated is a U3000. Once I disconnect the yellow it will crank and no codes but I don't want to leave it disconnected and cause another problem. But thank you that is what I thought
