Is the engine actually hot? It could be a sensor. Is coolant overflowing the reservoir? The AC is off to reduce the load and heat on the engine.

Right now it is -17 c or 0 f the engine felt normal, the temp gage was at 0 (COLD) no leaks, the one thing the fan was running constently and it is hard starting..

The fans will run until the problem is solved. That's another way the ECU protects the engine. They generally turn off the AC, turn the fans on and some times send a richer fuel mixture.

What is causing my 2008 Pontiac torrent 3400 v6 to show running hot in the dash it says reduse power engine power off air power off and show hot for just a minute then temp will fall back down what is the problem please

What is wrong with my 2008 Pontiac torrent showing hot for a minute then you can step in the gas right quick and it fall back down fast to normals and it shows in the dash motor shout down power and ac shout down what is wrong
