2008 Solara owners manual not available for purchase

Asked by semperfi68 May 01, 2012 at 03:18 PM about the 2008 Toyota Camry Solara SE Convertible

Question type: General

I bought a 2008 Solara and it did not have a owners manual....I called Helm Inc., publishers of the manual and they told me that the manual was not released by Toyota....So I called Toyota and they said it should be released in a few weeks...today is 5/1/12....I cannot believe that a vehicle made in 2008 and you cannot get a owners manual.......must be a big secret....I will try Lightgear's response...Semper Fi

They might have been talking about "shop manual". I tried to purchase a shop manual for my wife's Solara convertible and my Tundra. They told me the Tundra had 7-different shop manuals and were each $200. I checked them out on www.toyota.com/owners/web/pages/home and sure enough there are lots of shop manuals. That page is gone now but you can look up lots of things for your car. Log on you can access the information in the manuals. After logging in go to "resources" and then "manuals". You will need your vin number to set it up the first time. Plus you can see all of the maintenance that has been done to your vehicle by Toyota. The service is usually up dated before I get home from an oil change.
