Key remote keeps blowing the fuse when pressed twice to unlock all doors

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The key remote keeps randomly blowing the #3 fuse when pressed twice to
unlock all doors on our 2008 Subaru Outback wagon.  It will go for months
working fine then all of a sudden start blowing fuses.  Seems to last better
using genuine Subaru fuses (don't look any different than after market ones).

We've had the rear wiring harness replaced, which apparently has a wire to
the rear hatch door (rear wiper motor stopped working).  Did not make a
difference with the fuse blowing.  Also had 2 different mechanics try to check
the circuitry but the couldn't get the fuse to blow in their shop.  Have not had
the fuse clip replaced or checked and have not had the other doors apart to
check the actuator wiring.  Seems like the power to the actuators is too
strong for the fuse, they really click hard when opening and closing??

It is not the remote that is causing the fuse to blow. Something in the system is drawing too much power or there is a short. It will be a lot of work to find the problem. I would look at the wiring where it enters the doors.

Make sure the fuse is the correct amps. Don't use a high amp fuse to "fix" the problem!

I know that fuses always should be installed as per the specs and that the remote is not the cause. Just thought someone might have experienced this and discovered it was some other quirk with this model before I decide whether to have someone check the other 4 actuators et al. Thanks. P.S., the 15A fuse has not burnt out since I replaced it last week.
