Purge valve

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it difficult to replace the "dorman valve canister
purge valve " on my Hummer h3? I've seen a video
of it done on a gmc. Is this the same?

i haven't done one on a Hummer before, but the one's I have done are not that difficult to do.

It is a pain in the ass...and hands. Ya got to get the inner fender wall(plastic) out of the wheel well first. Jack it up and get a 10 mill socket on a couple long 3/8 extentions to reach the single bolt not much room to get at the 2 vac lines and 1 elect plug. Real tight because theres not much hose or wire to play with. Took me 2 hours. And the dam plugs that you took off in the beginning to get the fender wall off might be broken. I used regular sheet rock pluge to replace the broken plugs. Oh, take off the lf wheel, it will help ya.
