Question type: General

some times on start up it wants to die out, when it does this about 1 out of 10 times you can smell gas like its flooding, it then will idle normally after you step on the accelerator to keep it running before it die out. outside temp does not matter.

Well not knowing your make and model it may be anything. Sounds to me like your plugs, wires, and distributor need to be addressed.
