Fan stays on for a few mintues after car is off

Asked by whattayaknow Aug 30, 2016 at 10:52 AM about the 2008 Honda Pilot VP 4WD

So i brought my pilot to metro honda to get a
diagnostic, because of charging  system issues. So
the guy is taking the car and he says he notices the
fan under the hood is still on. For as long as ive
had this pilot, it stays on for a few then shuts off, is
that normal?

I would say a few seconds is normal, but a few minutes might not be.

I'm having problems with the fan in my 2011 honda pilot staying on. The temp gauge is high but car is not hot. What could this mean
