Sun/Moon roof quit working. Is there a manual close mechanism?

Asked by SweetJane Mar 23, 2015 at 11:09 AM about the 2008 Subaru Forester 2.5 X Premium

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced the switch and worked a again for a short period of time.  Now when I press the switch, I can hear a clicking in the roof area, towards the back of the actual sun/moon roof area.

There's a YouTube video how to for the Subaru Forester but I don't know if it will help or not. It deals with dirt in the rails and how to get to everything. There may be a wind up access hole either at the front or near the back of the roof liner. Probably a hex or Allen.
