No, check engine light is not on. About 2 weeks ago I had the catalyst cov. replaced by the dealer with thermostat. Dealer did not see anything else wrong. the Car passed smog a week ago.

yes, all the gauges light up and no check engine light! But I am happy to announce that a mobile mechanic diagnose the issue and diagnostics indicates the Crankshaft sensor is not getting 12 volts, thus the possibility there is no spark. It could also be that the Ignition module is not working. But need to replace the Crankshaft sensor first

Thank you all for your answers. I apologized for not responding sooner. I had a mobile Mechanic come to look at the car. The Crankshaft sensor was bad. And the Igniter module was replaced as well. The car starts now but it seems that there is a disconnect somewhere, since sometimes it starts right away other times it doesn't. a 2nd mechanic did Diag again, and the tool indicated a leak in the Intake manifold and a sensor having issues. So the problem was the crankshaft sensor not getting 12 vlts.
