leak behind the water pump housing. How do I get the housing off, already removed the pump itself

Not sure what you mean, there is nothing behind the pump other then a hole that's part of the engine....

Man I have the same problem in my 08 grand prix v-6. The water inlet that connects to the bottom of my radiator is leaking in between the block and the metal tube that feeds the water out the pump.
