I have a 2009 chevy impala lt 3.9 engine and yesterday while I was at a stop light, once the light turned green and I pressed the gas I heard a loud pop sound and right after my car wouldn't move. 5 Answers
It will roll backwards. I can put it in gear but when I press the gas the engine just revs. Can anyone tell me whats wrong and how can I fix this problem.

have a 2007 chevy impala, my car is starting just fine and will move when i go into drive or reverse. If i stop for a minute or so it will not move anymore in drive or reverse. What would cause this? 2 Answers
If i shut the car off and turn it back on it will work again untill i stop for a minute
