power steering problem

steering has become harder... after making a sharp turn the steering does not return to center on its own

It could be any number of things. There is a lot of linkage and parts that the steering rely on to function properly. The rack and pinion unit might be having issues. Aside from that make sure all other linkage is free and not bound up. Lubricate all fitting using a grease gun, outer tie rod ends, and ball joints.
