what can cause my 93 gt to seem like its not catching on takeoff ?

i had a blowout on my drivers back , i put the lil spare tire on it , but when i was
going to takeoff it seemed to not want to catch and go the transmission has
been completely redone when i changed the tire it had some play in it what
can be causing this?
