Truck won't start

Asked by butch2007 Feb 20, 2015 at 11:06 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 2LT Extended Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck sat for two months in garage, then batteries dead. I put two new batteries in last summer. There must be a small draw on them. When I jump it its ok and will run. But if it sits for a few days it is slugfest in starting.

I would invest in a battery disconnect switch. Very easy to install. Will save you from buying two more batteries. Not sure where you live but, if they sat out in below zero weather for an entire winter without being used, that really kills the life of the battery.

I live in Chicago, but it was in a attached garage. Last year and other years I left my Tahoe in the garage for 3 months and didn't have problem starting.
