2005 Buick Century--Possible electrical problem or issue?

I have a 2005 Buick Century.  This evening just as my front wheels hit the
curb at my driveway, my car lost electrical power and the engine died.  My
first try to restart the car did not work, but the second try did work.  Earlier
this evening I encountered a small dip in a road and my car lost power just
for a split instant but recovered.  Both times the clock on my radio went
back to 12:00.  Have I got a loose connection somewhere, an alternator
problem, a coil problem?  Please advise?

A few things: You may want to start with checking the grounding on the body/frame. Otherwise; - The ECU for your vehicle is under the air filter box (if I remember correctly). You may want to see if it has become dislodged, or the connection to it is loose. - Check to see if the instrument cluster is illuminating a “security” light. These vehicles have a resistor value built into the ignition key, which produces a voltage signature that is validated by the BCM. If there is an issue, a no start condition or possibly a cut off could result.
