I have a 1992 Acura Integra LS 1.8. - Timing Belt Broke

Asked by StanDaMan1965 Nov 23, 2021 at 09:52 AM about the 1992 Acura Integra LS Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1992 Acura Integra LS 1.8.  Was coming up a hill the other day, and it
stalled out.  Learned the timing belt has shred and broken.  Any hope here?
Engine and transmission were replaced in 2005.  Transmission replaced again
in 2016.  432K miles, and rolls out with no problems since.  Help!

Do you mean "timing belt" or "Serpentine belt"? (timing belt is an internal engine component; the serpentine belt is an eternal component and is used to drive things like the alternator, PS pump, AC, etc.)
