hi i havea 2001 x5 4.4l e53 it starts and idels beautiful but when i rev it. it wont rev over 1500rpm and then it starts to miss fire and then wants to stall any help would be greatly appreciated

Also a bad fuel regulator can cause this. May be running out of fuel when you get the rpms up.

I can hear the pump working but don't know if there is enough pressure, it starts no problem idles great touch the accelerator and it miss fires and wants to stall maybe blocked fuel filter ?. I did think coil Pac but there is no miss fire or ruff idle ? no the check engine light not on but when I turn the car off and take the key out it comes up with check park lights cheers.
