No crank no start what could be the problem?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I installed a radio in my 2002 bmw x5. The battery died
overnight. It ran for 2 days after i got a jumpstart. Then it
suddenly died. Smoke came from under the hood and
through the vents. I let it sit and tried to start it the next day
no start no crank and the battery went dead again what can
be the problem?

Pinched wire at the radio is my guess. Pull it out and look.
