my 02 lincoln ls will run very rough after starting

The previous owner changed all the plugs,  all the coils,  the intake gasket.  The initial problem was it overheated.  But I thought they shut themselves off to avoid damage.

If the water was not drained and 50/50 etylene glycol/de-ionized water mix put in there the coolant loop could be corroded with obstructions~ if this is the case have your cooling system flushed and replaced with the proper mix~
