2003 Mercury Grand Marquis Bolt Size

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi guys,

I recently changed the blower motor resistor in my 2003 MGM. I think this
repair had been done previously, as the resistor was only secured with one
bolt. I would like to go back and secure the new resistor properly, but I need
to buy a correct sized bolt. Is there any way to find the bolt size other than
going back in the engine and taking out the other one? I'm very much an
amateur at car repair so I'm not sure how to find out this info.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If there were two bolts use the remaining one to get a correct match.
