Lack of Power

Asked by Scott Mar 25, 2015 at 07:10 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 03 Trailblazer struggles when I get up to around 3k RPM. It hardly has any power when I go hard on the gas, and sometimes it hesitates to shift while on gas, but does when I let off. I'm pretty positive its not the transmission itself, but not sure where else I should be looking.

Have someone rev the engine while you see how much exhaust is coming out of the tail pipe you might have a bad catalytic converter. If it feels like very little exhaust is coming out revving, have a exhaust shop look at it.
