Door dinger draining battery

Asked by jaime Jan 18, 2018 at 06:44 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As I have read a lot of these here
questions and I believe that the
questions and answers have been
helpful The door dinger stays on
after truck is shut off and door is
closed Now my ignition was
replaced with a push to start So I
would assume the issue is in the
door and I read that it could be
temporary disabled but I believe his
advice was not to do so Why? Might
I ask this is temporary just trying to
make it thru the next week or two
Purchasing a new vehicle this
problem is just one of many!
Thanks

if it does not have a external door switch, then the problem is within the door latch assy.
