2001 Chevrolet Tahoe with a 5.3 L Vortec V8 starts and idles smooth but then his real sluggish and bogs down on take off

On start up my Tahoe starts and runs smoothly but
then whenever I accelerate or takeoff it's real
sluggish bogs down and seems to have a misfire

Have you had the catalytic converter checked? Had this problem with my '05 Tahoe and it was my catalytic converter.
