Vortec 5.3 knock

I've got a 2002 Tahoe lt. last week I had a head
gasket go bad, had it towed to a shop and we
replaced them. Flushed the oil 3-4 times, filled it up
and started just fine. When I drove it home, I
noticed a chatter (between shifting) I'm idling at 500
rpm and oil psi is at 15. If I rev it up, once I hit 1000
and above the chatter gets louder.. if I'm in gear I
hear nothing (maybe it was faint) I can do 75 on the
highway and not hear a thing?? I'm lost... any
suggestions? (While at 75 I get 40lbs on th oil
gauge.

I believe the knock sensors on those engines are under the intake manifold. If it is a knock sensor issue it was likely caused when the head gaskets were replaced. I would take it back to the shop that did the work and see if they can figure it out.
