Why would my coolant sensor keep burning out.

Asked by Debjack1998 Feb 08, 2017 at 07:18 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe LS RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Tahoe runs perfectly. My temp
gauge stays right in the medium range,
however, out of nowhere my check engine
light comes on. Computer says it's a
engine coolant sensor. I've changed it
twice already and now it just did it for the
third time. This has all been writhing the
last year.  Why would it keep going out?

Possible bad connector, may not be making a good contact. Should try and solder in a new connector. You should be able to order a connector from the parts store.
