Asked by coffee42 Dec 19, 2016 at 09:34 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

03 Tahoe turns over but never fires, the battery
died and a new battery was put in. When I turn it
over it kind of back fires after I stop cranking.

My tahoe did the same thing it’s most likely the camshaft sensor . It’s easy to replace . It’s under the disturber cap roter button. About $45 from GM. If that’s not it could have jumped time that will be expensive.
