Durango will not start AFTER a new water pump install. Found a lose wire but can not find where it connects. Engine cranks over but will not catch. Fuel pump solid, new plugs and wires

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I installed a new water pump on 03 Durango SLT. Started it right up no problems with starting. Water Inlet tube was leaking so we shut the engine off, loosened the drive belt and sealed the leak on the inlet tube. Put drive belt back under full tension. Car cranks over but will not catch. We found a wiring hanging lose on the passenger side front right beside the washer end of the reservoir. The connector on the wire(s) is yellow and had green black and purple wires going in to the back. The connector is freshly disconnected as there is no road grime or oils on it.

I had a similar issue years ago. After replacing a thermostat, the truck would start but not idle. Had to disconnect the battery to reset the computer and charge the battery to get it working again.
