2003 Explorer Eddie Bauer, rear power windows donot work but the front windows work

The power to the rear windows should channel through the front drivers side panel. Use a multi-meter on the drivers side panel to determine if power is getting to the terminals for the back windows. If the back do not work from the back seat the problem is probably in the front switch. If the back windows work from the back, it's still in the front.
Ok I've just spent 1/2 hour on AllData trying to solve your dilemma. Then it hit me. On my explorer there is the window lockout button. If you turn it off all your "LED's" on your window switches will turn off. If this is the case you're getting power from the master switch to your rear windows. I cant find what fuses control those windows. I strongly suspect your master window switch could be faulty. I need to know if the rear switches are working. What you could have is a partial communication failure in the lockout switch which in all honesty if thats the case your r/f window should be inoperative. I looked at wiring diagrams for you. all feeds and the main relay goes thru that central switch. Go to the junkyard get a cheapo used unit put it in and see what happens. -Mike Nissan Asst service manager/Explorer owner/fan
