2004 Ford Explorer won't crank over

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer and it wouldn't start. The issue began when I was driving and
all of a sudden, the car shuts down. I started it back up but it wouldnt go past 5 mph. After
revving the engine the car would boggle down and then shut down. Ive already changed
the Fuel filter, Spark plugs and wire, MAF sensor, Throttle sensor. The fuel tank is at half. I
also bought a new battery. I used a code reader and all it gave me was a P1000 code.
Which is a PCM code. I can't clear the code and don't know what else to do. I thought it
could be the fuel pump, but after changing the fuel filter, i disconnected the fuel side and
turn the engine to the start position. Fuel flowed through there so that eliminated the fuel
pump situation. Please help! Thanks in advance

If you have the owners manual check it and see if your vehicle has a limp mode. Some Fords have such a setting which allows the drivers to safely return home or to a shop.

The code you are getting indicates the PCM did not complete a systems check. Usually the condition only results in a check engine light, not the results you are getting. Are there other codes stored in the memory? Also, the code you have sometime appears if the battery is disconnected or the vehicle is towed. Normally, once the vehicle is driven through certain parameters, not idle, the system will reset. A mechanic with advanced scan tools will have to scan the entire PCM system to determine the fault. Hope the problem is not the PCM.
