Depends on who is doing it and what parts. Ballpark is $2000.

Ford dealers sell Ford factory rebuilt transmissions that have the best warranty going. Mine ran about $3,000.

Rebuilt usually means repaired up to the point of failure. F_O_R had the best suggestion.
