Older ford explorer, no codes, mechanics can't find issue

I've got an 05 explorer. Been to
multiple mechanics only to be told
to come get it because there isn't
anything wrong,  but the thing goes
then suddenly I can't accelerate,
then it just goes like 10mph and no
faster. Any ideas? Mechanics don't
know.

Perhaps there is a hole rubbing in a wiring loom shorting it out. Or it could be like one we had in our shop that had an ECU that was intermittent. Take it to a Ford dealership for evaluation. There should be codes stored in memory and Ford has the proper equipment to fix this issue.

Any vehicle which has any amount of electronics involved, the problem has to be present when diagnostics are performed. Diagnostics today involve hooking up a computer to the vehicle while running and condition present, to determine the cause.
