What is rear drain line in trunk for?

there is a drain line that goes into the trunk were the jack is held. it fills with water. what is this drain line for? how can i fix so water does not collect in well.

The drain line may be to drain the area around the trunk opening where the gasket is. The drain line should go to a hole that allows the water to drain to the outside under the car. I suspect the hose got pulled out and it just needs to be put back in the proper place. Look for a hole the size of the hose in the bottom of the trunk somewhere below the hose.
