1988 35th anniversary edition Mustang............

I bought the car new.  It is the LX model coupe with only 64K miles.  Has the small 2.3 liter, 4 cyl.  Mileage is low because I was in an accident in another car.  Resulting in my left leg nerves to be permanetly damaged.  I am unable to use a clutch.  The car has never been in an accident of any kind. Paint is good, window trim has sun damage.  I am curious if the car is collectable?  Now that the 2015 will be availible soon, perhaps the 35th addition might be collectable.  I realize the 5 liter, convertable is for certain....any opinions on mine?  Any idea of the value?  Thanks all fellow Mustang fans.

Thanks Mark! I just realized I goofed, it is the 25th anniversary edition. While I have your attention, why did they make the clutches so tight. Even my mechanic says wow, that's a tough clutch. I had an 87 before this one. A meth head in a 77 Dodge Polaria, t-boned me on the airport expressway......that clutch was a bugger too. Didn't bother me then, now I wish it was like most cars. Man, if someon changed the engine to 5liter, she would fly. As it is now, so slow to begin, I know they say off the line, guess I drive like an old grandma.....that said, she will go 85 all the way back and forth to Phoenix. Oh the good old days! The question, stuck in my rambling....what does everyone have to say about the 80's clutches? BTW, did they fix the clutches in the newer models? Thanks again Tom

Check NadaGuides.com under Classic Cars - depending on the running condition the value should be at least 2,ooo and as much as 5k if you find the right person looking ... the clutches in older cars often were replaced with heavy duty parts and since most were not hydraulic clutches like todays small cars everything felt like an old truck
