Common problems?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I've been debating about getting a Civic Si and I wanted to know if they have
any common problems that I should look for. I plan on buying one anywhere
between 2007-2009 (Coupe or Sedan)  and I will be buying from a dealer in
hopes to find one that is stock. I read somewhere that these engines rust
out or something like that, and that Honda extended the warranty on the
engines? I'm not too sure.

The final question, what should I do to help the car not get stolen from some
low life? I was planning on getting a kill switch installed in one but other than
that I'm not sure :/

Thanks!!

Oil Filter access is the only common problem - using K&N filter with nut on end helps but still need to climb underneath and get wrench/ratchet up into engine ba at strange angle...or remove passenger side front wheel and access by moving fender well liner out of the way...no rust recalls on record...trans' can be notchy into 3rd gear when don't shift quickly
