2007 ford explorer Eddie Bauer edition

Asked by Kcee007 Dec 01, 2017 at 04:05 PM about the 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck has been stalling at stop signs and red
lights but not all the time. It will start and run fine
but when I put it into drive it stalls again. It will go
into reverse with no problems at all so it's only
happening when I put it into drive. So after putting
my car into reverse several times and backing up, I
try to put it in drive and it stalls. I let it sit 10 mins,
start my car and it drives fine, what could the
problem be? It has done this 5 times now but not
everytime I drive it. Any help would be appreciated.

The idle control valve may need replacing.

Thank you for replying. I've read on several different sites that it could be idle control valve, alternator and or oxygen sensor and several other things so i figured i would come here to see what everyone else would suggest.
