07 expedition limited 5.4 only move forward or reverse a few inches

Asked by Rattman427 Apr 03, 2021 at 01:38 AM about the 2007 Ford Expedition Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Vehicle has sat about a year, just put
new fan and clutch on, cam sensor and
injector pigtails, new plugs and coil
pacs, Vehicle is running perfect, put it
in gear, reverse or drive, and it barely
moves several inches. No dipstick up
top, has to be checked from
underneath, which I have not done yet.
It has option to run in all wheel drive, or
2 or 4 wheel drive, also no signs of any
leaks underneath. Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated.

Go through all the gears , then let it warm up and try it. Even a small transmission fluid leak could make it not work.
