Is the key in the ignition when trying to lock the drivers door?

See if the lock lever inside the door moves at all when you try to lock with the remote or the button on the door. If it moves even just slightly you may just need to lube the lock mechanisms inside the door. If it does not move at all you may need to replace the electric lock solenoid inside the door
