Asked by greathuskerfan Jun 12, 2012 at 12:55 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a DA attack with my kids Cobalt as his door was not shutting properly so I took both bolt out and the  metal peice that had treads feel down in the frame.  How do you reteive it and how do I get it back behind the door body frame

I would suggest stopping in at your friendly neighborhood body shop and trying to get a little free advice from them. I suspect taking the interior panels from the back seat area behind the offending door will give you the access you need to retrieve the plate and get it back into place, but I'm not sure.
