Question type: Maintenance & Repair

(Previous post) Yesterday my battery got
extremely hot. It was stinking and you could
hear it bubbling. I got both the battery and
the alternator checked and they were
perfectly fine. They said it may be the
computer. I'm not in the position to spend a
bunch. Any ideas?

(Now) So this morning we jumped it and
tried to see if it was throwing codes. My car
went haywire, I had no radio, it said I needed
to service my air bag, I had no power
steering, and when I put on the parking
break, all gauges and screens in the dash
shut off. Could this be an issue with the
computer?
