Is it possible the mechanic forgot to reconnect the AC?

I just got my Rav4 out of the shop.  Long story short, I got the transmission replaced and
the day I took it home I discovered the AC was no longer working.  When I press the AC
button, I don't hear anything, like the compressor kicking in.  Is it possible after taking the
whole engine apart and replacing the transmission that the mechanic disconnected it?   
I've never had any trouble with the AC before and it was working when I dropped it off.

Easy for me to say, hindsight. But Meg you should have turned around and brought it back the minute you discovered the A/C not working. OK, that does not answer your question...Yes, it's not only possible but probable..highly...that the mechanic screwed it up during re-assembly.

Highly possible,all he had to do was bump ant line,s and puff,there go,s your freon.You can go have it charged back up,but will the leak be stoped is the question?If not i think i would have to let the mechanic no he caused damages. Good luck with this

Take it back talk to the shop owner, be firm and polite and,again, firm; in that you expect to have the AC fixed or that they will pay to have it fixed.
