Car won't start
So my gf has a 1998 Acura cl 3.0 v6. And recently
she has had issues with starting the car. At first it
seemed to be something with the charging system.
Like it would just click anytime you would start the
car. But with a jump it started right up and it was
fine after that and then as soon as we get home and
turn it off and turn in on again it wouldn't start. Well
while I was out of town her das took a look at it and
he bought a new battery and it started up fine. And
it was fine for awhile. Well now the car is having
issues starting again. Except this time the cranks
but doesn't start. And it's not all the time. Just once
in awhile. Like you get in turn the key and it will
crank but won't start well after a couple tries and
giving it gas it will then start up. But at that moment
I have to stay on the gas for a few moments
otherwise it just runs rough and stalls out quick.
Now once I finally get it started I feel no loss of
power at all and even at lights it idles fine and
smooth and no misfires. And it could be fine for
awhile after that then all of a sudden it starts acting
up again. Now my gf dad is thinking best case
scenario it's the fuel filter and worse case it's the
pump. I just wanted to bounce this off of you guys
and gather ideas
