With vehicle running check voltage at the battery in camper. Also check for any blown fuses in camper. Check plug on back of vehicle for alternator power(14.5 +-) with vehicle running. 5 amp fuse sounds kinda of small to be the one doing the charging. Are you sure you are checking the proper fuse. Also check that the (I believe) white ground wire is hooked up on your vehicle and trailer. Hope this helps.

have you checked the battery itself? how old is it? check all fuses under the hood. get out your owners manual and see what fuses actually go to "trailer battery charge" and make sure they are the right rating.
