reprogramming keys

Asked by Bette Dec 03, 2018 at 04:32 PM about the 2007 Honda Fit Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a key reporgrammed by a locksmith, then found the lost keys. I have now
two old keys and the new reprogrammed key. Can I reprogram the old keys
myself? It's not a remote key.

Keys are not programmable. The cars ECU is programmed to recognize new keys. You may be able to reprogram to recognize the found keys. Refer to the owner's manual or call the dealership's service department for instructions.

Is it possible to do this reprogramming yourself? On a Honda Fit 2007 not a Sport model
