Honda Accord Coupe suddenly making weird noises...

Asked by apachesmom Oct 21, 2016 at 12:00 PM about the 2007 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car, after 1 year, has started making odd noises on and off. When I
reverse, I hear something similar to a quiet "horn" blowing at me. And when
driving, it sounds like a hiss of something rubbing together... like two metals
chains grinding, and hissing at one another, then stopping...

Any ideas?

I'd suggest having your front and rear brakes checked . Sounds like you may have a.rear brake dragging or hanging up or possibly the front brake.pad squeezes ( tab of metal to give you a heads up that youll.need brake.pads soon .) . Or both issues also if it's a standard trans mission have the trans fluid level checked as a low fluid level will cause a low horn/him.noise when backing up . Good luck
