Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When my car reached 60,000 it started burning oil after I would drive 10 miles. It doesn't do it until I turn the car off and drive again. Then big poufs of white smoke.and it makes a rattle noise that stops when you let off the gas. I have looked online and hundreds are having the same problem.Has anyone figured out how to repair the problem?

I had the same problem rattle smoke after driving 10 miles turning car off and when I turn it back on that is when I get the smoke...I took it to toyota dealer they tried to say I didn't change the oil that they found oil sludge under the cap...I told them I changed my oil more than required and I found many people online with same problem . They said they never heard of it..I am sure they were lying..They said I needed a new motor at cost of $7,500. I said I am pursuing class action suit. There is a web site called toyota sludge.com or sludgetoyota.com can't remember the order but there are lots of people with same problem We need to start the class action suit...

As of this writing, you all must have taken care of the problem already but there's a recall on it, thank goodness. It''s Warranty Enhancement notification ZE7, in regards to the excessive engine oil consumption issue. Hope this helps.
