While driving down the highway, my 1986 Fiero SE suddenly backfired, lost power, then regained power a few seconds later and was ok. Any ideas on what caused it? That's the 1st time it has done it.

Occurred during highway driving, when it happened I lost all accelleration ability for a brief couple of seconds, then everything came back and was fine.

my 86 Pontiac Fiero with just over 60,000 miles did it twice while going down the freeway .. this just happened and I was wondering if you found out what the problem was ... Thanks
