I am having this issue currently. I did find out however that my catalytic converter was bad, and had it replaced, but I now have no power and the rpm's go from 1100 to 600 and it will stall. Have replace coil distributor, plugs and wires and the fuel pump relay. any thoughts or advice?

Check your Transmission lock out solenoid. This is what happened to mine and if you talk to a Tranny shop they will tell you the symptoms
