When you run a car out of gas, it sucks up all the garbage out of the bottom of the tank. Also, always keep a car with an in tank electric fuel pump at least 1/4 full. The gas immersion helps cool the pump. You probably have a clogged fuel filter, clogged fuel line, or have destroyed the fuel pump. Good luck, and do not let cars run out of gas.
